Using a double cone pellet mixer, made out of pharmaceutical grade Stainless steel 316L, the mixing of plastic pellets comprising the blend which will later be extruded into PP film. Mixing is accompanied by precise weighing of the materials after they were released by our quality department. These materials are procured from approved suppliers based on our quality management system requirements.
Extrusion:
Four different mixing formulae are extruded into four different component of the final empty IV bag by introducing these mixes to world class, fully automated extrusion machines. The extrusion department produces Polypropylene film used in bag welding to make the body of the empty IV bag, in addition to Polypropylene tube, and stoppers/injection ports components.
Bag Welding:
Another fully automated production line, to mold, seal, print and connect PP tubes to the body of empty IV bag, by feeding our sophisticated machines our extruded PP film, and PP tubes. According to customer needs, we can produce different size empty IV bag ranging between 50 mL and 1000 mL and printed with customer label and logo. Throughout production Plastimed personnel perform continuous visual inspection of the produced IV bags and in process quality control tests
